About this program

Explore Baja California Sur on this five day adventure from the Gulf of California to the Pacific Coast. RED Travel Mexico combines exhilerating whale watching and trip to Espiritu Santo Island.

Watch for breaching grey whales in Magdalena Bay, discover sand dunes and mangrove canals. While at Espiritu Santo Island, snorkel with seal lions and bask in paradise.

Itinerary

Week 1: What to Expect

On your first week of the program you can expect the following: 

  • Wildlife Reserve - Remove alien plants, clear garbage, count birds & antelopes, remove snare traps, fence patrol
  • Monkey Sanctuary - Prepare food & feed animals, clean and replace water, assist with new arrivals and injuries. 
  • Community Project - Assist in a community project dependent on the needs of the program. 
  • Cheetah, Wild Dog & Vulture Centre - Food prep, feeding, camp clearing, assist vet with emergencies, painting, invasive plant removal. 
  • Bird Project - General maintenance, observation of species.  

Week 2: What to Expect

After a weekend off, you'll begin your second week. You can expect the following:
