Looking for a thrilling experience in Costa Rica? Look no further! Here is a 7-day adventure tour, with opportunities for you to explore gorgeous national parks, enjoy exciting excursions, and stay in beautiful hotels. 

Upon your arrival, you’ll be transferred to a lovely boutique hotel where you can refresh after your flight. Enjoy free time to explore the lush gardens and surrounding property before your welcome dinner! 

Then, you will venture to Arenal, making a stop for a tasting tour at the Espíritu Santo Coffee Plantation, followed by a delicious lunch. You will later arrive at Tabacon Grand Spa Resort for the next two nights. Discover this stunning property and unlimited entries to the hot springs! While you are in Arenal, enjoy thrilling excursions to the Arenal Mistico Hanging Bridges and the famous Arenal Volcano. 

After your Arenal National Park experience, you’ll make your way to Manuel Antonio National Park, where you will embark on nature hikes through this massive national park. Enjoy immersing yourself in this beautiful system of trails, beaches, and variety of wildlife.

Itinerary

June 11 | Day 1

After you arrive and clear customs at the San Jose airport, you'll be met by a private driver for the transfer to Villa San Ignacio. 

Upon arrival, you'll have some time to explore Villa San Ignacio, its beautiful gardens, trails, and expansive grounds. 

This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner to meet the rest of the group. 

June 12 | Day 2

After breakfast, depart for the Arenal Volcano area. 

You'll stop at the Espíritu Santo Coffee Plantation where you'll enjoy a tour of the facilities, as well as a tasting! 

After the coffee tour, you'll continue to Arenal, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. Once you arrive, you'll check in to the Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort. Explore the grounds and the natural hot springs. 

Tonight, dinner will be at the resort's restaurant Ave de Paraiso. 

June 13 | Day 3

Departing early in the morning, you'll head for the Arenal Mistico Hanging Bridges. Upon arrival, you'll take a naturalist-guided tour of the trails and hanging bridges. 

Enjoy lunch at a local Costa Rican soda. 

This afternoon, you'll depart the hotel to La Fortuna for a cooking class and an evening with a local family. You'll assist with preparation and learn about traditional Costa Rican cooking. Later, you'll enjoy the meal with the group. 

 

June 14 | Day 4

Rise early and depart for a guided walk of the Arenal Volcano and Rainforest. You'll cross a variety of ecosystems from open valley to tropical rainforest, and lava fields. 

Enjoy lunch in La Fortuna with some time to explore the local shops. 

After lunch, you'll travel to Manuel Antonio. After you arrive, you'll check in to the Hotel Costa Verde. 

June 15 | Day 5

Wake up early today and depart for your half-day hike of Manuel Antonio National Park. Explore the incredible trails, stunning beaches, and variety of wildlife. 

Take lunch at a restaurant steps from the beach. 

Your afternoon today is free! Enjoy a surf lesson, relax on the beach, or enjoy one of the hotel's pools!

This evening, you'll head across the street to Fincas Naturales Wildlife Refuge for a night tour. Explore the variety of reptiles. insects, birds, amphibians and other wildlife that prefer the dark!

 

June 16 | Day 6

Be ready for an exciting day on the water! You'll be picked up from the hotel early today and taken to the town of Quepos. From here, you'll paddle the coast towards Biesanz Beach, a beautiful secluded beach. You'll stop along the way for fruit, snacks, and a snorkel. Enjoy a Costa Rican lunch after the trip!

This afternoon is yours to do as you wish! 

Enjoy a farewell dinner tonight with live music!

June 17 | Day 7

Depart for San Jose and your flights home or on to your next destination!
