About this program

Join an exhilarating program working with kids from underprivileged backgrounds. This program operates on Saturdays and School Holidays allowing kids to gain skills in kitesurfing, with the goal of making it to the Youth Olympics.

SAVE Foundation works with SAKA (South African Kitesurfing Association) and the kids of the program have the opportunity to participate and assist in their events, which is a very motivating and life-changing chance for them.

Because the program only operates on specific days, you have the chance to participate in other programs at no additional cost! Choose from teaching kids, working with children that have special needs, and even an adventure surf program! The difference you’ll make to the kids from these areas is an incredible gift, and you’ll feel the soul-enriching benefits!

On your days off, you’ll have a number of adrenaline-rushing activities that you can sign up for including: Surfing Lessons, Kitesurfing Lessons, Windsurfing Lessons, a tour of Cape Point, a wine route tour, visits to Robben Island, cliff jumping, rappelling down Table Mountain, and even cage diving with Great White Sharks.

There’s one thing for certain: South Africa is an adventure lover’s dream. It’s an incredible experience and one that will change your life!

This wonderful program does not have a set itinerary. Specific activities will be determined by weather and the needs of the kids and of the program. The program runs on Saturdays and School Holidays as an effort to remove underprivileged children from the streets when they are not in school.

The goal of the program is to teach the kids valuable life skills and lessons with the use of exciting sports, activities, and classes.  This program operates in addition to the Adventure Surf Club and focuses primarily on kitesurfing.

This program provides opportunities for the kids to participate and assist in SAKA (South African Kitesurfing Association) events, and has a goal that one of the youth will be able to enter the Youth Olympics for Kitesurfing by 2020.
