Venture to the South Pacific and join a teaching and sports education project in Fiji. You’ll work with kids between 6 and 16, in classrooms of up to 50 students. By participating in this program, you’ll have the opportunity to assist a local teacher, or if qualified, lead a class independently.
Volunteers best suited to this program show an enthusiasm for working with kids, have high energy, and understand how to handle different behaviors. While it is not mandatory to have a TEFL certificate, it is highly recommended.
As a volunteer on this program, you’ll take part in following a curriculum that is government issued in the morning. In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to continue teaching, assist with extracurricular sports & physical education, as well as lesson planning.
If you’re looking for a fun volunteer program with kids in an incredible destination, this is the program for you!
The volunteer schedule may vary depending on the needs of the program, however, you can expect this as a guideline:
8:30 am - Breakfast
9:00 am - Travel to the program and begin work. Some programs may run in the afternoon, so this schedule may vary.
12:00 pm - Lunch
2:00 pm - Lunch ends, continue work, lesson plan, or explore
5:30 pm - Dinner at volunteer house. Free time afterwards.
**Evening: Out of respect to other volunteers and for your safety, a curfew of 11:30 pm is in place for each evening, including weekends. If you wish to be out later, you must speak with the local team and arrange alternative accommodation.
